When Fulani Herdsmen will start killing Igbo’s, don’t call me, I have giving an order, give them your land – Buhari

The PDP chieftain also alleged that the security agencies are handicapped because Buhari has refused to give them the right signal to act. He said, “As I am talking to you the Miyetti Allah has completely intimidated both the police and the army because of Buhari’s body language. We don’t want that. But if we don’t stop the Fulani they will continue to attack and kill Nigerians.”
He noted that Nigerians were very expectant of Buhari and they tried to embrace him without knowing that Buhari had other ideas adding that in a more fundamental sense the crisis is about the Fulani reaction to the consequence of democracy. “I see Fulani as a group without the numbers to cover the bases they use to occupy. Under dictatorships, they were the say- all -masters, but under democracy, you notice how they lost control in places like Nasarawa. The indigenous people in the Middle Belt have started marshaling control over their affairs, which led to the assertion of their rights over land which has unsettled the Fulani.”
When reminded that the Fulani herdsmen are only requesting for land for grazing, he said “Nobody will donate a land he does not own. You see 5,000 hectares is like calling for a local government. The problem that the Fulani have is desertification, climatic changes, coupled with Boko Haram activities in the north east. That is now what is forcing them to seek greener areas and the greenest area closest to Hausa land where they currently hold authority over the Hausa is the Middle belt.
“As I am talking to you, Fulani have bought deeply into the Mambilla but the Jukuns are resisting them. That is why the Fulani are fighting. If you give the whole of Nigeria to them without adding Benue, Taraba and Plateau, they will not accept it. They need that part to gain access to the basin of the Benue, that is why they are fighting and the fight is most likely to continue.
He however, expressed confidence that despite the alleged divisive politics of Buhari, Nigerians need to resolve their differences and build a more united country. “We want an inclusive government where everybody; Fulani, Hausa, Tiv, Jukun, Yoruba, Igbo, Angwei, Bassa, Berom, Angas, and others will all be accepted by everyone else.”
On the possible solution to the crisis he said that the Fulani must embrace ranching, which is the standard practice all over the world.
On whether the PDP still has all it takes to dislodge Buhari and the APC in 2019, he said the only way to dislodge Buhari is to let those PDP people, who rushed into the APC, who are now disgruntled, to come out and join the Obasanjo Coalition for New Nigeria and other platforms and negotiate with the PDP. “The disgruntled members of the APC are now trying to go away from the party to join the PDP to form a coalition and go for the 2019 election,” that will the best way to oust Buhari in 2019,” he said.
